Teena Marie (March 5, 1956 – December 26, 2010)
Teena Marie was honored at a private memorial service in Los Angeles yesterday by some of her iconic one-time label mates, including [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Stevie Wonder[/lastfm], Smokey Robinson, Queen Latifah and Motown founder Berry Gordy Junior.
The two-hour Catholic mass, held at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills, was closed to reporters. The 54-year-old, born Mary Christine Brockert, died December 27th of natural causes.
