John Oates of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Hall and Oates [/lastfm]says he wanted to produce the 7908 Aspen Songwriters Festival because songwriting has always been the foundation of his career. Drawing from songwriters’ events he enjoyed during his time in Nashville, Oates was looking to pair young and veteran tunesmiths in his adopted Colorado hometown. He tells us, “It’s very real and very intimate.”

Amongst many other great musicians, Kim Carnes is scheduled to appear.
