No, not Fabian.   Whewww.    He’s ok.   The guy who discovered him is gone.

BOB MARCUCCI, co-founder of the Chancellor Records label and the guy who discovered teen idols FRANKIE AVALON and FABIAN, is dead.

Variety says He died Wednesday of natural causes at age 71. Bob was also the inspiration for RAY SHARKEY’s character in the 1980 movie, “The Idolmaker.” With PETER DeANGELIS, Bob helped develop the teen idol craze of the late 1950′s after ELVIS PRESLEY went in the Army, and in the early 1960′s before [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]THE BEATLES[/lastfm] and the British Invasion took over.
