London’s Daily Mail reports the American diva got into hot water after posting “who or what is Cher Lloyd?” The other Cher is a 17-year U.K. sensation who built her success on the show X-Factor, the Simon Cowell production that will soon launch a U.S. version.

At least the original Cher showed some humor when responding to her faux pas, saying, “OK, got Cher Lloyd, I guess I live in a cave. No disrespect meant!”
