Rock stars are saving the book publishing business…

The Hollywood Reporter says that thanks to huge sales from KEITH RICHARDS’ memoir, “Life,” rockers are a hot commodity in the print world. The stars are reaping those benefits too. Keith reportedly got 7-million for his book, while SAMMY HAGAR made 3-million for his New York Times best-seller, “Red: My Uncensored Life In Rock.”

And, STEVEN TYLER’s autobiography, which is due out next month, is also likely to be a big seller.

Unfortunately, we won’t get to read [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]BILLY JOEL[/lastfm]‘s memoir. He pulled it from publication and gave back his 3-million dollar advance. That had to hurt. ~JZ.
