By now, you may have heard she just passed away. Did you know PHOEBE SNOW worked regularly with many rock legends?
The late singer, best known for her 1975 hit, “Poetry Man” died of complications from a brain herorrhage she suffered in January of 2010. She was 58, or 60 depending on the source.
Phoebe’s other hit was “Gone At Last,” a duet with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]PAUL SIMON[/lastfm]. She was also an in-demand studio vocalist and worked with artists like BILLY JOEL, DONALD FAGEN of STEELY DAN, QUEEN, JACKSON BROWNE, LINDA RONSTADT and many others.
Phoebe also sang jingles for General Foods International Coffees, and the theme song for the “Cosby Show” spinoff, “A Different World.” Very talented lady…we will miss her! ~JZ.
