Rock’s superstars have come together for Japanese relief efforts…
The more than 200 artists on EMI’s record labels, including The Beatles, Beach Boys, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Pat Benatar[/lastfm] and Eric Clapton, donated items that raised close to one-million-dollars to aid Japanese earthquake and tsunami victims.
- Brian Wilson‘s handwritten lyrics to “”God Only Knows” and a platinum album for Pet Sounds brought in more than $7,600.
- A Steinway grand piano used by artists, including Eric Clapton and Bono, raised nearly $15,000.
