[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lionel Richie[/lastfm] is one of several classic rock and pop stars taking part in the week-long Mawazine Festival in Rabat, Morocco:

The former Commodores frontman, who performs more frequently these days in Europe and Asia than at home, will take the stage on Friday night.

Kanye West kicked off the festival Saturday.

Today’s highlight is a show featuring Earth Wind and Fire co-founder Al McKay and Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge. Also set for this week, Yusuf Islam (the former Cat Stevens), Joe Cocker and Quincy Jones.
