Motown founder BERRY GORDY has two of his sons trying to settle a score on the Billboard Hot 100:
Back in 1984, KENNEDY GORDY, the fifth of Berry’s eight kids, peaked at number two with “Somebody’s Watching Me.” Kennedy recorded that tune under the name ROCKWELL, and got a bit of vocal help from MICHAEL and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]JERMAINE JACKSON[/lastfm].
More than 27 years later, Berry’s youngest son, STEFAN KENDAL GORDY has a number 3 hit right now with “Party Rock Anthem.” He calls himself RedFoo and is half of the duo LMFAO. If Stefan can get past ADELE and KATY PERRY to reach the number one slot, he will have beaten his older brother.
To make things even more complicated, the other half of LMFAO is SkyBlu. His real name is SKYLER HUSTEN GORDY, and he is Berry’s grandson. ~JZ.
