[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Tony Orlando[/lastfm] just finished spending a couple of months in Boston and Cape Cod filming Adam Sandler‘s upcoming comedy Donny’s Boy…

Orlando is part of the cast along with James Caan, Susan Sarandon and Saturday Night Live‘s Andy Samberg. While not giving too much away, Tony tells us, “My new buddy [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Vanilla Ice[/lastfm] makes an appearance that’s hysterical. He plays an old school friend of Adam’s.” Look for it in theaters June 2012.

Tony’s friendship with Sandler grew from when the comic filmmaker contacted him to license [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dawn[/lastfm]‘s chart-topper “He Don’t Love You” for another of his comedies, the upcoming Jack and Jill. (That’s the one where Al Pacino is smitten with Sandler‘s identical twin sister.

Tony’s single is featured in a New Year’s Eve scene. London’s Daily Mail recently posted some pictures from that one online. ~JZ.
