Lately, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Elton John[/lastfm] hasn’t exactly been on [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Madonna[/lastfm]‘s good side…

In an interview on “Good Morning America”, Elton was asked if he had any advice for Madonna regarding her halftime show at the big game this Sunday. He said “Make sure you lip-sync good.”
But WHY is Elton saying stuff like this?
My theory is Elton’s in tight with Lady Gaga…since The Ga and The Ma are at odds with each other, Elton’s simply taking Gaga’s side.

OR, maybe Elton’s jealous he wasn’t asked. By the way, Elton has never done a big game halftime show, and he said he wouldn’t because, quote, “I’ve never seen a decent one. Never ever.” However, he later added, quote, “To be honest with you, I saw the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]ROLLING STONES[/lastfm] and I saw [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]PRINCE[/lastfm] and I thought they were pretty good.”
Naturally, his biggest problem with the halftime show is the lip-synching, but he admitted it IS difficult to perform live at this enormous event. He said, quote, “I don’t think you can. In all fairness to everyone who has done it before, I think you may be able to sing live, but it’s really hard to play live.”
The producers probably PREFER an artist to lip-sync. There’s only a few moments to set that stage up . . . and if the artist is performing live, every piece of equipment must be set up perfectly in order for it to go off without a hitch.
For the record, we don’t KNOW that Madge is going to be lip-synching. If she does, and pulls it off right, we probably won’t be able to tell.
When (or if) Lady Gaga is invited to do a halftime show in the future, just watch and see if Elton gives her any lip. ~JZ.
