Inquiring Beatlemaniacs want to know…
Former [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beatles[/lastfm] drummer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Ringo Starr[/lastfm] held a town hall meeting-like event on Monday at the Troubadour in Los Angeles to take questions about his brand new and aptly-titled album Ringo 2012, which just arrived in stores.
British comedian/actor [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Russell Brand[/lastfm] was on hand to act as MC, so the session wasn’t short on laughs.
At one point, Starr said he had no plans to write his memoirs, telling the audience, “I’ve been asked to write an autobiography of myself, but they really only want those eight years. And I say, ‘But there are 10 volumes before we get to that, and 20 afterwards.”
During the Q&A session, Starr revealed the Beatles considered doing their farewell gig at the Pyramids in Egypt, among other exotic locales, but “at the end of you say, ‘Sod it, just let’s do it on the roof.”
