The band [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rush [/lastfm]is furious with the person Rush Limbaugh over the fact that he has used their songs on his radio show.
Rush (the band) has demanded that Limbaugh stop immediately.
TMZ is reporting that the band is “FURIOUS” over the fact that Limbaugh was playing their song “The Spirit of Radio” as he ranted about Sandra Fluke.
They were more upset when they found out it was not the first time the talk show host used their music on his show.
Rush (the band) has sent a cease and desist letter Limbaugh’s way saying, “The public performance of Rush’s music is not licensed for political purposes and any such use is in breach of public performance licenses and constitutes copyright infringement.”
The letter continued, “Accordingly, we hereby demand that you immediately stop all use of Rush’s music and confirm that you will do so.”
Apparently this isn’t the only group upset with Limbaugh over using their music with out asking. [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Peter Gabriel[/lastfm] was upset over the use of his song “Sledgehammer”. His reps are also demanding that Limbaugh quit using his music.
At this rate is Rush Limbaugh going to be able to use any music for his show? Well other than Ted Nugent.
