Rod Stewart Reuniting With Faces For Rock Hall Induction

Rod Stewart will use the Rock Hall Induction of his former band the Faces as the perfect excuse to get the old band back together. The British Invasion rockers haven¹t all performed together since 1993 at the BRIT Awards, but a recent interview revealed that the April 14^th induction ceremony in Cleveland will find them together again for a three-song set.

“Contrary to what some people might think, we’re all still great mates and we’ve never said we wouldn’t play together again,” drummer Kenney Jones told Music Radar. ³We all had dinner about a month ago and decided that the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame would be the perfect time and place.²

What happens after the induction, however, is anyone¹s guess. Stewart, who toured alongside Stevie Nicks last year, continues to keep busy with his Great American Songback series and a two-year Vegas residency that kicked off last August. As Jones said, “We’ll just have to see how it goes.”

“I’d like to think there’s more to come, although it depends how everyone’s individual schedules are shaping up,” he continued. “But we’re all really looking forward to getting up on stage again, it’s been far too long.”

With the addition of Stewart and future Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, the Faces were born in 1969 from the ashes of influential mod act Small Faces, who will also be inducted into the Rock Hall next month. It¹s worth noting that Wood and Stewart reunited in 2004 for a series of Faces concerts. The whole group started rehearsing together again in 2008, and the Faces reunited in 2010 sans Stewart.
