June 29th, 1964: The Beatles played two shows at Festival Hall in Brisbane, Australia. During one of the shows, some audience members threw rotten eggs at the group.
The police had to intervene, because the Beatles’ fans in the audience attacked the egg-throwers; who were removed by police.
