July 9th, 1969: The Beatles are in the studio, working on “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” for the album that was to be called “Abbey Road.” This was John Lennon‘s first appearance at the sessions, having just gotten out of the hospital after a car crash.
Yoko Ono was hurt worse than John in the crash, so John had a bed installed in the studios for her. This did not go over well with the rest of the group, or the studio employees.
