Beatles legend, Sir Paul McCartney has announced that he will be teaming up with Bungie, the studio made famous by their Halo video game franchise.
McCartney is set to compose the music for Bungie’s next big project.
McCartney announced the news via his Twitter account (@PaulMcCartney):

@bungie, the studio that made Halo.” – Paul

Although it is not yet clear what game he will be composing music for, it is unlikely to be on the next Halo game. Bungie wrapped up its work with that series back in 2010 with Halo Reach.
Halo 4 is currently in development, but the project has been taken over by 343 Industries.
McCartney said earlier this year that he wanted write music for computer games because he thinks it’s easier to make money through gamers than it is by selling CDs.
“It’s a fascinating market. A new computer game sells so much better than a new CD these days. Young people will hear my music for the first time in a game,” McCartney said.
