When he’s not shredding on stage or hunting his own dinner, Ted Nugent is utilizing his 1st Amendment right. And the Motor City Madman put it to use when he submitted an op-ed piece to the Washington Times, referring to Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. as a “traitor” and a “turncoat.” Nugent’s remarks come on the heels of the conservative Chief Justice’s vote to save ObamaCare.

“The bottom line is that Chief Justice Roberts’ traitor vote will ensure more monumental spending and wasted taxes and put almost 15 percent of the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) under one of the world’s most bureaucratic, ineffective, incompetent and grossly expensive systems ever devised by man: our out-of- control federal government,” Nugent writes.

Nugent believes the PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, referred to as ObamaCare) gives the government too much control, calling it “insane and addicted to centralized federal control of our lives.”

Uncle Ted threw his support into Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s corner back in March. Nugent states he doesn’t care if the Chief Justice’s vote was strategic and leads to money for Romney’s Presidential campaign or solidifies the GOP. He considers any support for ObamaCare unconstitutional and furthers the contempt of the 10th Amendment by the legislative, judicial and executive branches of government.

In more pressing Nuge news, drummer Mick Brown was arrested for driving a golf cart while under the influence. The 55-year-old drummer stole the golf cart while at a show in Bangor, Maine and was spotted by security driving recklessly on a foot path. When officials tried to apprehend Brown, he sped past them, shoving a security guard in the process. Brown was caught, arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger, theft and assault. He was released on $4,000 bail.
