Living to 90 is an accomplishment in itself, but Dr. William Bell, who is the father of former Olympic Silver medalist Earl Bell, did something that most of us would only be able to dream about at his age.
He just broke the world record in pole vaulting.
He has now the world record holder for highest vault in his age group. Bell cleared a jump of 7 feet 2 inches or 218 centimeters.
He broke the record at his son’s Olympic training facility in northeast Arkansas, where both Bells still jump together at least three times a week.
