Back in 2007 pop star Willa Ford, and Dallas Stars legend Mike Modano tied the knot in Athens, Texas.

Now People is reporting that the couple is calling it quits.

“It is with great sadness that after five years of marriage, Willa and Mike have decided to divorce,” a representative for the couple told People. “They remain friends and wish each other success and happiness,” the statement continued.

The couple was engaged in 2006 before saying their vows a year later at a private ceremony before 75 guests at a ranch near Athens, Texas.

They were married nearly 5 years.
