August 18th, 1962: Ringo Starr appears for the first time as the Beatles’ drummer during their gig at Hulme Hall in Birkenhead. They rehearsed for two hours before the show for Ringo’s benefit.
This was the 17th annual dance for the Horticultural Society, and marks the first time appearing as “John, Paul George and Ringo.”
