Today is one day when all our hearts travel to New York City and remember the events of Tuesday, September 11th, 2001. The skyline of New York changed forever that day. Now in place of the twin towers of the World Trade Center are the reflecting pools of the National September 11 Memorial Museum and reaching skywards is the new Tower 1.
EarthCam.com has a series of live webcams stationed around the World Trade Center site so you can watch the day-to-day progress of the new tower being built as well as the goings in the National September 11 Memorial Museum. There is also a spectacular time lapse video of the removal of the debris, clean up, and building of the 9/11 Memorial.
If you can’t make it to New York to visit the 9/11 Memorial, then EarthCam is a great way to be there in spirit and see what is happening. Visit the site by going to EarthCam.com/usa/NewYork/WorldTradeCenter.
