Uptown is getting a Whole Foods. It will be built on a vacant lot on McKinney Avenue between Fairmount and Routh streets. However, it won’t be ready for business until sometime in 2015.

Tanglewood Trail in Fort Worth was invaded over the summer…by egrets. Hundreds of egrets chose this neighborhood to roost and repopulate. Empty nests now remain in the mature trees above the homes. The City of Fort Worth said it’s important that homeowners deter nesting by the federally-protected birds when they return.

It’s time to do a little Christmas shopping since the Dallas Sample Sale is back. The Sample Sale offers something for everyone including: gifts, jewelry, toys, children’s clothing, home accessories, furniture and manufacturer samples at unbelievably low prices — and it only happens once a year. It starts today and goes through Sunday, November 11 at Dallas Market Hall.
