A parade float carrying military veterans and their wives drove through a West Texas railroad crossing on its way to an honorary banquet, where four people were killed and 17 were injured. The train was sounding its horn before it hit the float. An investigation indicates the crossing gate and lights were working at the time of the accident.

The Alamo has been robbed! Workers were taking inventory when they noticed a copy of the Texas Declaration of Independence did not appear to be the original copy. The document in question is one of 13 original copies produced in the 1920s and distributed throughout the state.
