Don’t ever say the Rolling Stones didn’t change with the times. For their concert on December 15th in Newark, N.J. the band will offer a live streaming to PCs, smartphones and tablets.
This is also to the pay-per-view option the band has out there for the same show. The added benefit for the online live stream is that for the same price, $39.95, as the pay-per-view you will be able to watch the video for 30 days afterwards on multiple devices.
This is a first of its kind event for a live performance to be offered so widely on the internet.
“These guys have always been on cutting edge,” says Perkins Miller, executive vice president of digital media at World Wrestling Entertainment. “They are using the latest technology to deliver (and show) that they are on still on top after 50 years,”
Fans can access the digital pay per view of the “One Last Shot” concert right now at the Android marketplace, iTunes will have an app this week according to US Today. You can also get the digital stream at rollingstones.com/watch and music.yahoo.com.
