Fairy Princess For A Day
This is just one of the faces that I would do anything for…like dress up at 31-years-old and be a real-life fairy princess for a day! I have two nieces, Madison and Audrey and I have two nephews, Hunter and Jack. Hunter, Madison, and Audrey are my brothers kiddos and Jack belongs to James’ sister. I love them all sooooooo much that I would do anything for them!!!
Last Friday was Madison 3rd Birthday! Since we couldn’t all get together last week, we partied this weekend! Clearly, the theme of the party was Fairy Princess!
Obviously, you see why I had to dress up, right? I know you all are just dying to see me in my tutu, but I’m going to make you read all the way through and pay it off at the end. :) I’ll at least give you a sample…
Yes, it is as ridiculous as it looks!!! That’s 150 plus yards of tool ribbon!!! I think it took me about two hours to make, but totally worth it!
If you are wondering how we decorated…doesn’t it look amazing!!! What 3-year-old wouldn’t love this!!!
We ate cake pops instead of cake.
We decorated sugar cookies. This one is Madison’s. She took a bite before she was finished decorating.
This was Hunter’s cookie. Before it was all said and done, the boy had a bout a pound and a half of icing in top and then covered it in colored sprinkles.
Of course, you can’t have a party without face painting!!! Nothing like seeing a 300 pound NFL offensive lineman painting butterflies on a little girl’s face.
The boys were dressed like pirates, so naturally the theme called for a major stache. My mom is hooking Hunter up with one that any man would be proud to sport.
The finished products…
By the way, this is what happens when you fall asleep at a fairy princess birthday party!!! I think the blue stache is really working for Audrey!
It wouldn’t be a true party without Madison hammin’ it up for the camera!
Special props to my sister-in-law!!! Who did EVERYTHING!!! She is such a great mom!!! I wish I had her ability to plan and execute! I always plan, but never follow through. As you can see, she was exhausted toward the end of the party.
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for…the tutu!!!
I won’t lie, I was a little embarrassed at first. I was holding Audrey to kind of downplay my outfit! Eventually I got over it! Here are a few more pics. My tutu and all its glory!
My sweet, precious Madison! I love you so much! Happy 3rd Birthday!!! I can’t imagine life without you!!!
