As if we needed any more reasons to love this season’s Cowboys, now this.
A friend of mine named Keller McCrary has done a lot of communications work for the Cowboys over the years, and is pretty much in charge of making sure everyone inside AT&T Stadium can talk to each other. So when Keller became aware of a young man who needed some encouragement, he didn’t hesitate.
As McCrary wrote on Facebook…
“I woke up the morning of our game with Pittsburgh and a dear friend sent me an email regarding a friend who’s son had been given some tough news about his kidneys. Jake is his name, and all of a sudden life and his love for football as a college player had come to an end. Being that he is a Dallas Cowboys fan, his cousin put out the word asking for help from the Dallas Cowboys to somehow send back a message to Jake that morning to encourage him. I went to Jason Garrett and showed him the request…and the request was returned moments before the game started.”
