The website calls it the ‘supersonic airliner anyone can afford to fly.’
Within five years, we could fly from New York to London in the time it takes to drive to Houston. Virgin Air’s Richard Brandon has teamed with the Colorado start-up, Boom, to bring back transatlantic supersonic flights.
The company unveiled a prototype nicknamed Baby Boom which demonstrated the new technology. There’s been much progress in materials and engine technology to make supersonics quieter, lighter and more fuel efficient than its granddaddy the Concorde.
“We are taking the opportunity to rethink the end-to-end passenger experience,” according to the Boom website. “Our goal is to provide a tranquil and stress-free experience from the moment you step aboard, whether you want to work, play, or relax.”
No lines, no crowds, arriving in a fraction of the time.
There’s your dreamy story of the day!
