The Creator Of The “Big Mac” Has Passed

Like hamburgers? Perhaps Big Macs?

The creator of the Big Mac, Jim Delligatti of Pittsburgh, has passed away, at age 98.

Speaking of Big Macs, Don Gorske, who was featured in Morgan Spulock’s 2004 social experiment/documentary Super Size Me (about Morgan’s 1 month of living exclusively on McDonald’s food), has been eating Big Macs… regularly… for 12 years! Here’s a scene from his segment in Super Size Me

Think you can compete with a guy who had eaten 28,984 Big Macs, as of yesterday?

Gorske recently learned the creator of the Big Mac had passed away, and yesterday, had his usual (2) Big Macs per day, doing so in memory of Delligatti.

Ninety-eight-years! Wow! Such a long life. Hope Jim enjoyed it, and Big Mac fans continue enjoying his creation.

Condolences to family and friends of Jim Delligatti.
