Martin Scorsese is set to release his first live action film since 2010′s Shutter Island.

The film, The Wolf Of Wall Street, stars Leonardo Di Caprio, Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, and Jon Favreau.

The movie will center around a New York stockbroker who refuses to cooperate in a large securities fraud case involving corruption on Wall Street, the corporate banking world and mob infiltration.

It is based on the memoir of real life stock broker Jordan Belfort.

If you’re planing to break out of prison anytime soon, keep in mind that pissing off your getaway driver isn’t going to end well for either of you.

According Nebraska’s Journal Star, police say a Lincoln County Detention Center inmate walked away from his work-release job at an animal shelter when workers at the shelter responded to a fake call about a vicious dog. 27-year-old Dylan Aufdengarten was picked up by his girlfriend, 29-year-old Jennifer Harmon, outside the shelter. However, the pair got into a fight that resulted in Aufdengarten being kicked out of the car five miles down the road. Harmon then called the police and told them where they could find Aufdengarten.

Aufdengarten was brought back into custody and charged with escape. Getaway girlfriend Harmon was charged with aiding and abetting.

Do you brake for animals? Will you go out of your way to avoid squishing a furry animal? One man in San Diego recently landed his BMW in Mission Bay on Saturday morning after trying to avoid a squirrel.

Lt. Nick Lerma of the San Diego Lifeguard Service said the car was driven by two young men in their late teens to early 20s. The San Diego Union-Times reports that the car left the road on the northeast end Fiesta Island and drove into the water around 7:20AM.

Police do not believe alcohol was involved. A tow truck was called to pull the car out of the bay. Neither driver nor passenger were injured, and the squirrel is believed to have gotten away.

Season one’s premiere episode was titled “Who Are You, Really?” That was a question that Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) was asking of her former paramour Bill Compton (played by her real-life husband, Stephen Moyer, who also directed the episode). At the end of last season, Compton appeared to die, only to be immediately resurrected with even greater powers. In the season premiere, when Sookie comes face to face with Bill, she is skeptical that it is actually the vampire she used to love. So “Who Are You, Really?” by Mikky Ekko seems to be a fitting song for all this.

But as Gary Calamar tells Radio.com, there was originally different music planned for the season premiere, but a change of the episode’s title necessitated a change of plans. “This was an interesting situation,” he said. “The first script for season six was originally titled ‘Don’t Let me Be Misunderstood,’ and we went ahead and recorded a beautiful, ‘True Blood-y’ new version of the song with Eric Burdon (who of course sang the original Animals version) with Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley, Postal Service). We were thrilled with the new version.”

The Oxford Dictionary recently added 1,200 words and phrases to its lexicon. Some of them are recent news makers and there are some that have been in the vernacular for ages that are just now coming around to getting in the dictionary.

There are a few surprises as well, so don’t “have a cow.”

According to Red Alert Politics, some of the terms among the “epic” new additions are newsmakers like “fiscal cliff”, “debt trap”, and “big data”.

A few that you’d think would have been added long ago and just now making it in are phrases like “binge drinking”, “the silent treatment”, and “to have a cow.”

Bruce Springsteen‘s bandmate and original E-Street Band member, Clarence Clemons, has been given his own official state holiday as declared by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Clarence Clemons Day has been set for Jan. 11, Clemons’ birthday, according to reports.

Clemons died of heart complications as a result of a stroke in 2011. He was 69.

Gov. Christie, an avid Springsteen fan, has been to over 130 Springsteen shows, and ordered the flags to be flown at half-staff at the time of Clemons’ death.

The resolution to give the big-time saxophone player his own day was proposed by New Jersey Senator Jennifer Beck.

“The New Jersey Shore would not be the same without the music of Bruce Spingsteen’s E- Street Band,” Beck said, “and the E Street Band would not have been the same without the sound of a saxophone played by Clarence Clemons.”

Last week Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Jo Perry were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The event was held in New York on June 13th, and alongside Aerosmith, Foreigner’s Mick Jones and Lou Gramm were also inducted. Other inductee’s included Holly Night, JD Souther and Neighbors composer Tony Hatch.

“I love that Joe and I are getting inducted tonight because we put our nose to the grindstone. We can’t get harmony if everybody is singing the same note,” Tyler said, according to NME.

“It means that people are listening to what we’re doing,” Perry added. “Like Steven said, we’re always under the hood working, or we’re on the road, whatever. That’s what the band is, it’s work, and we’re doing it.”

Elton John and Bernie Taupin were honored with the Johnny Mercer award, which is given to a writer or writers who have already been inducted to the Hall and hav established a history of outstanding creative work. Past winners of the award include Phil Collins, Dolly Parton, Smokey Robinson, Billy Joel, and Stevie Wonder.

As announced today, this year’s Farm Aid will take place in upstate New York on September 21st. The annual one-day festival, which benefits the American farming industry, will hit the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York.

As always, the show will feature performances by Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews.

Nelson and Mellencamp generally play Farm Aid with their constant backing bands. Young, on the other hand, has played solo acoustic, with Crazy Horse, with small combos and larger ensembles in the past. Although he’s been working with Crazy Horse lately, there’s no word as to who he will perform with at this year’s event. Similarly, Matthews has played with the Dave Matthews Band, but also with his acoustic duo with Tim Reynolds, and also solo acoustic. No announcement has been made yet about Matthews’ specific performance, either.

No other artists have been announced on the bill yet. Last year’s lineup also included Kenny Chesney, Jack Johnson and Jamey Johnson (read a review of Farm Aid 2012 here), and prior years have featured the Allman Brothers Band, Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow and Phish.

So when a group of teens, say cops, bought their tickets and took pictures in a photo booth with a woman’s missing credit card, they got spotted.
