Santana‘s 36th album, Shape Shifter, makes its debut this week at No. 16 with 20,811 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The instrumental album particularly highlights the jazz and Latin-tinged stylings of legendary guitarist and band namesake Carlos Santana, though vocalists Andy Vargas and Tony Lindsay do lend their vocals on one song, “Eres La Luz.”

According to Entertainment Weekly the former Commodore will be replaced by R&B superstar John Legend.
